Flights

This tour starts and finishes at Merida International Airport (MID), where our private transport will take you to our hotel. See the main tour page for the complete itinerary.
What to Pack
The Yucatan has a tropical jungle climate. We recommend packing light, loose-fitting, and breathable clothing. Lighter colors will help you stay cool and, conveniently, look beautiful against the Yucatan’s colorful backgrounds.
Linen in particular is a staple of the regional dress, as it pairs nicely with the environment. If you choose to wear linen, you’ll fit right in with the locals. Example of linen-focused brands include Cubavera or Whismey + Row. You can also of course go shopping in Merida if you arrive early.
We also recommend that you consider packing additional changes of clothing, particularly underwear, so that you can change and feel fresh in the evenings.
In addition to standard clothing and toiletries, you should pack swimming suits, flip flops or beach sandals for the cenotes, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a water bottle, insect repellent, and sunglasses. A wide-brimmed hat can also be helpful for keeping the sun out of your eyes.
Extending Your Trip in Mexico
While the tour will end on the specified dates, note that you do have the option of arriving earlier, or departing later, if you wish to have more time to explore Merida or if there are better flight options. If you wish to book additional nights at the same hotel at your own cost, email us at [email protected] for assistance.
You are also of course free to make your own travel arrangements to independently explore other nearby destinations. Since our tour does not involve many beach days, you may wish to add a beach break to your vacation. For inspiration, we recommend checking out our guide to the best hotels in Tulum or in Playa del Carmen, two popular destinations in the nearby state of Quintana Roo.
