✔️ Fun Facts: I visited Europe for the first time when I was 16 and quickly fell in love with travel from that trip. I have visited 24 countries to date, with a goal of hitting 30 by 30.

I visited Ireland with my best friend in 2019 and the trip definitely did not start off as planned. We had discovered cheap flights from Toronto to Ireland and decided rather spontaneously to go in April for just shy of a week.
My friend’s flight ended up getting delayed which meant I had to spend the first two days by myself, something I had never done before. It gave me a taste of solo travel and also pushed me a bit outside of my comfort zone, which has led to future solo travel experiences I’ve had. When she arrived, I was that much more appreciative of her being there and we ended up somehow joining an Irish stag party which was a lot of fun!
Ireland is one of the most beautiful countries I’ve visited, and not far from where I now call home in London, England. Check out my recent posts below for my top tips as a local!
I would recommend having some kind of plan before setting out on your trip. There are definitely plenty of opportunities to be spontaneous with traveling, and that’s half of the fun! But if you do a bit of research beforehand, you won’t risk missing the hidden gems or less touristy attractions that will provide a genuine taste of the culture in the place you’re visiting.
I would have to say Croatia. The second I landed and was greeted by the sunshine, I knew that I would be leaving a piece of my heart in this country. Between the crystal clear water, amazing food, and gorgeous islands, Croatia is filled with so much natural beauty.
The country is also not short on ice cream shops, which definitely contributed to the above accolades. I would highly recommend visiting Croatia if you haven’t been, and I definitely plan on returning.
Suitcase, although I do try to get away with a duffel bag for weekend breaks.
